05.01.12 - Prince Leif presenting Lens-E with her Princess Hat

Leif and I had a visitor from the States today... a cute little ragdoll named Lens-E who is travelling the world to raise money for childhood cancer by supporting St. Jude's Children's hospital. The idea is that every person who recieves her adds something to her, stamps her passport to show where she has been and then posts some pictures of her visit on her very own Facebook page. At the end of her trip, she will be auctioned off. Leif and I added a smile to her face (literally, not figuratively... we sewed it on!) and also gave her a cute little Princess Hat so she could remember her trip to the Castle at Kronberg in Germany. We chose the "dress up" hat since we talked about the fact that kids who are sick with cancer spend so much of their time and energy on their illness and treatment that they miss out on some of the fun things that kids do like playing dress up. It was a great experience for both Leif and me and we were very happy to be a part of it.
