January 12 - Depth of Field

Farmer's field, that is. Just outside town, there is a group of four trees in the middle of a field. Under those trees is a bunch of abandoned farm machinery. I have always said that I wanted to go there and take some pictures of the area. Why I had to choose the coldest day ever is beyond me. After a long hike into the frozen field, I got about 30 pics and my batteries froze. Argh.

With this shot, I was working on depth of field and shooting at a low f-stop. I would love to get a new lens that can even go lower.
